Dr. K Dyson
Hi! I'm an urban ecologist based in Seattle, Washington.
My research examines how we develop and landscape land in cities, and how these actions impact other organisms like birds. I want to learn how to better support local species and humans by changing how we manage these areas.
My work through Dentroltyics supports habitat with words, numbers, and maps based on the best available science. I provide new research, research reviews, data products, and policy analysis to help cities, developers, landowners, and others striving for a more sustainable future. I specialize in development and landscaping impacts on local species, including birds and trees. If you're interested in collaborating, please contact me!
I run Dendrolytics, am part of the Integrated Ecology Lab non-profit, and work with the Urban Ecology Research Lab at University of Washington.
